Do I have to pay Velare to represent me?

No. Under UAE law, licensed recruitment firms cannot charge candidates for job placement, and Velare never will. Our fees are paid by the hiring organisation. If anyone ever asks you to pay a fee to access a role — whether at Velare or elsewhere — decline and report it.

Will my CV be shared without my consent?

Never. Your CV is held confidentially and only presented to a specific client after we have discussed the role with you and received your explicit go-ahead for that submission. We keep a log of every place your profile has been shared, and you can request it at any time.

I am currently employed. How discreet is the process?

Discretion is the default. All initial conversations are confidential. We will not contact your current employer, your references, or anyone in your network without written permission, and we will not post or advertise your availability anywhere. If timing or anonymity is sensitive, tell the consultant upfront and we will adjust.

What happens after I submit my CV?

A consultant from the relevant practice reviews every submission. If your profile is a potential match for a live or upcoming mandate, we will contact you within three working days to arrange a conversation. If there is nothing that fits right now, we add you to our private bench with your permission and revisit when the right brief lands.

Do you only work on senior roles?

No. While retained search is focused on C-suite, director, and specialist leadership mandates, our contingent and embedded practices cover mid-career through senior individual contributor roles. We work across fifteen industries and from Manager to Board.

How does interview coaching work?

Every shortlisted candidate receives a detailed brief before each client interview — panel composition, culture, strategic context, and expected interview format. After each round we debrief with you and relay structured feedback in both directions. This is standard, not a premium service.

Will you help me negotiate the offer?

Yes. Offer structuring is one of the most important parts of our work — benchmarking the package, coaching you through counter-offers, and making sure the final terms reflect what you actually want, not just what was first proposed. Resignation coaching is included where it helps.

What happens if a role does not work out after I start?

We stay in touch at 30, 60, and 90 days post-start as standard. If something is not landing the way it was scoped, we step in as a neutral broker between you and the employer. On retained mandates, a guarantee covers a structured replacement process if the placement exits in the first 12 months.

Do you work with international candidates relocating to the UAE?

Yes — across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. We coordinate with the hiring employer on visa sponsorship, residency documentation, Emirates ID, and onboarding logistics. For international senior hires we also help with housing searches, schools, and family relocation timing.

What data do you hold about me and for how long?

We hold your CV, contact details, role preferences, and the notes from our conversations. We retain this for up to 24 months from the last contact, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. You can request access, correction, or deletion at any time by emailing privacy@velare.ae. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.

I have never worked with a recruiter before. Where do I start?

Start by submitting your CV through the Contact page, or browse open roles and apply to the one closest to your profile. Even if that specific role is not quite right, it opens a conversation — and often the more interesting mandate is the one we haven't advertised.

Still have a question?

The fastest way to get an answer is to start a conversation. We'll come back to you within one working day.
